Flood affected small businesses and not-for-profits in the local government areas of Barcoo, Boulia, Bulloo, Diamantina, Longreach, Murweh, Paroo, Quilpie, and Winton can now access disaster loans from the Australian and Queensland Governments.

The Australian and Queensland Governments are activating grants totalling more than $80 million to eligible small businesses, primary producers, not-for-profits, and rural landholders to support communities impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The Albanese and Crisafulli Governments are extending assistance to support seventeen more councils as well as primary producers and rural landholders in Charters Towers and Flinders, after flooding across the north and northwest of the state.

Disaster hit primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profits in seven northern Queensland council areas can now apply for concessional loans to assist with their recovery from the sustained rains and flooding endured the past week.
