QRIDA's Annual Report provides a summary of our corporate performance during the 2023-2024 financial year.
Highlights of the 2023-24 Annual Report
The 2023-24 Annual Report was developed in accordance with legislative reporting obligations and enabled the Queensland Parliament, through the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries, to assess our financial and operational performance.
Highlights of our performance outlined in the Annual Report 2023-24 include:
- As at June 30 2024, QRIDA approved 88,933 applications worth more than $343.8 million in government financial assistance for 2023-2024. This is the largest number of applications approved by QRIDA in our 30 year history.
- We approved 126 applications for more than $89.1 million approved for our First Start and Sustainability Loans under the Primary Industry Productivity Enhancement Scheme (PIPES).
- We administered more than $12.8 million through the Queensland Government's Drought Assistance Programs and continued to support disaster-impacted primary producers, small businesses, and non-profit organisations with their recovery and clean-up, approving more than $37.6 million in Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants.
- We approved 480 applications for more than $42.3 million under the Queensland Government’s Fisheries Structural Adjustment Scheme, helping fishers, skippers and crew impacted by the phasing out of gill-net fishing activities across three fisheries regions.
- We provided more than $31.9 million under the popular Climate Smart Energy Savers Rebate Scheme, assisting more than 72,700 Queensland households invest in energy-efficient appliances.
- We received a client satisfaction rating of 86% in our annual client survey and a program owner satisfaction rating of 100% in our program owner survey.
- We continued supporting producers with our Farm Business Debt Mediation and Farm Debt Restructure Office programs. Our Farm Business Analysis Assistance, which is administered by our Farm Debt Restructure Office, was able to connect clients with free, independent advice from a consultant to help them move forward with confidence in their rural enterprise.
