The Rural Landholder Recovery Grant Scheme offered grants of up to $10,000 for clean-up and reinstatement activities to help rural landholders pay for the costs of clean-up and reinstatement of their primary production enterprise that had suffered damage as a result of an eligible disaster event.

Applications for the Rural Landholder Recovery Grants Scheme closed on 13 February 2026 for the North and Far North Tropical Low, 29 January – 28 February 2025 disaster event.
What assistance was available?
The Rural Landholder Recovery Grant Scheme provided a grantto rural landholders to help pay for the costs of clean-up and reinstatement of a primary production enterprise that had suffered direct damage as a result of the North and Far North Tropical Low, 29 January – 28 February 2025.
Grants of up to $10,000 were available to assist with clean and reinstatement activities. To be eligible for assistance the relevant property must have been located within the declared disaster area for the event and have not already received other disaster grant or loan assistance for the events.
This assistance was funded by the Australian and Queensland Government to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the eligible disaster.
Please note that Rural Landholder Recovery Grants are still available for rural landholders impacted by the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1-16 March 2025 event. Please click here to see information about this assistance.
