Primary Producer Flood Management Grants
The Primary Producer Flood Management Grant Scheme offers rebates to eligible primary producers of up to $7,500 towards the costs of professional advice, received on or after 18 May 2022, to improve resilience to flooding and high rainfall.
Program information
The Primary Producer Flood Management Grant Scheme is provided under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
The rebate aims to help eligible Primary Producers offset all or part of the cost of eligible professional advice to improve the resilience of their primary production enterprise to flooding and high rainfall and develop a flood management plan.
With guidance from an Industry Recovery and Resilience Officer (IRRO), applicants will engage suitably qualified professionals to provide advice which will contribute to a flood management plan.
The flood management plan must be endorsed by the IRRO, ensuring that the advice received will improve resilience to flooding and high rainfall when implemented by the primary production enterprise.
The scheme offers rebates of up to $7,500 and applicants may submit multiple applications up to the total eligible amount for advice received on or after 18 May 2022.
QRIDA is administering the Primary Producer Flood Management Grants Scheme on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for the Primary Producer Flood Management Grants Scheme, applicants must:
be a Primary Producer;
have a Primary Production enterprise located in defined area for an eligible disaster;
have received and paid for eligible professional advice for the eligible primary production enterprise on or after 18 May 2022;
provide a flood management plan endorsed by an Industry Recovery and Resilience Officer (IRRO); and
have not previously received financial assistance to cover the same cost from the State or the Commonwealth.

Funding may not be used for:
Advice or services that have not been paid for;
Costs related to implementing any measures that were identified in the flood management plan.
How to apply
You will require the following documents to submit your application online:
Tax invoice for eligible professional advice received on or after 18 May 2022;
Evidence of payment for the tax invoice(s) i.e an official receipt(s) from the provider or a copy of the applicants bank transfer(s) or bank statement(s) for advice and/or services;
A copy of the IRRO endorsed flood management plan;
Any additional documents stated in the application form.

No, if an applicant is registered for GST, the assistance will be calculated calculated based on eligible costs excluding GST.

A rebate is not guaranteed at any stage of the application process and applications will be assessed on a competitive basis.
No. You cannot obtain the rebate if you have received other Government funding for the same eligible advice.

If your application is successful QRIDA will reimburse the funds to your nominated bank account if you have provided evidence of already paid invoices.
