North Queensland Resilient Kids Grant

This grant is to support the Western Queensland and Northern Queensland Primary Health Networks commission the development and delivery of preventative youth mental health programs in eligible flood affected areas.

Scheme overview

Eligible applicants were invited by QRIDA to apply for funding for the North Queensland Resilient Kids Grants Scheme (North & Far North Queensland Monsoon Scheme, 25 January – 14 February 2019).

The Resilient Kids funding provided $2 million for preventative mental health programs for school-aged children. It was provided to the Western Queensland and Northern Queensland Primary Health Networks in July 2021 to roll the program out to 10 LGAs that currently do not have access to mental health support programs for school-aged children.

Applications for funding opened on 10 December 2020 and closed on 1 March 2021.

The North Queensland Resilient Kids Grants are funded by the Australian Government and administered by QRIDA.
